Alan Lewin
Managing Director
Alan Lewin is managing director of ServiceMaster Limited in the United Kingdom and is responsible for all ServiceMaster brands.
Alan joined ServiceMaster Ltd (UK) in January 2005 as director of business development to focus on developing the growth and market share of ServiceMaster Clean and Furniture Medic franchise networks through the National Account Programme. In June 2010, Alan was appointed to the UK executive leadership team as business development director with wider strategic and tactical responsibilities in business development for both commercial and domestic markets.
Alan was appointed as managing director for ServiceMaster Limited in April 2014.

Having studied IT at an academic level and providing professional technical support for over 15 years at ServiceMaster, Darshan’s aim is to introduce new technology solutions to help develop and grow franchise businesses.
The ServiceMaster Clean IT department prides itself in servicing over 350 franchise owners and giving friendly and professional support.

Wendy is Administration/HR Manager and Quality Manager for ServiceMaster Limited and has 25 years’ experience in similar roles.
Wendy and her team are responsible for providing the day-to-day administration support for all ServiceMaster Clean operational activities including the organisation of training events, meetings and conferences.

As part of your induction, we will pair you with another ServiceMaster Restore franchise business. This gives an opportunity to see how another franchisee operates their business and is a time to gain further knowledge and insight from someone who has been in the shoes of a new franchisee.
The Franchise Council represents franchisees by region and seeks the input of ServiceMaster Restore franchise owners from around the country. The Franchise Council meets regularly to evaluate, recommend and potentially implement new initiatives in the areas of products, marketing, management, safety, customer service and franchise support.
In an established franchise network like ServiceMaster Restore, there’s always another franchise owner available at the end of a phone or via email to call on for help and advice.
Based upon the simple philosophy, ‘If it’s good for you – it’s good for us’, the Franchise Council provides individual owners with a voice to influence the direction and priorities of ServiceMaster Restore. Council members are also active in National and Regional meetings and participate in the development of new programmes to enhance the brand.
Your initial franchise fee includes the equipment, supplies and exclusive ServiceMaster Restore products to equip your team. It also includes a pre-study course, plus 2 weeks of intensive training at the ServiceMaster Restore Academy in Leicester and Peterborough. There, you will receive training in business management, sales and marketing, and the use of our proprietary software.
In addition, we instruct new franchise owners about the equipment, cleaning products, and processes involved in providing cleaning and restoration services. ServiceMaster Restore products are researched, developed and manufactured exclusively for us and training materials are provided to ensure their proper use. Every cleaning product is developed to make operating a ServiceMaster Restore business safe and easy. Our technical product expertise ensures that you have access to all essential information in order to meet requirements.
ServiceMaster Restore supplies, equipment and cleaning tools are available from the ServiceMaster Ltd warehouse, which stores and distributes hundreds of professional-quality cleaning products. Any item can be ordered by phone or email 24 hours a day and is delivery is within three working days.
As you grow your business, our regional workshops, specialised training courses and other ServiceMaster Restore resources will continually improve and update knowledge and skills for you and your employees.
The central marketing team is available for practical advice and makes a number of central initiatives available to business owners, with active encouragement and incentives to get on board. Central marketing initiatives are routinely implemented with regular programmes that business owners can opt into throughout the year. A customised six-month marketing plan is made available to all business owners with hints and tips throughout the year on recommended marketing activities.
We retain a central print management agency to maintain brand consistency with online access for easy ordering of brochures, leaflets and a host of other marketing material. We also make digital expertise available by way of online advertising and each franchisee has their own dedicated area on the central website that they can personalise and make their own.
